I lifted my medium aigile body out of a snow bank into the cover of some trees. My rustic coat stood out against the snow. I gave a sharp bark out of bordem. I let out a howl. It was loney but joyful. Sad but happy. I waited to see if anyone would return it.

i've burned down every bridge that i've found. now i limit myself to a six gun quota. i've played down every feeling i've felt. and i bottled them up until the well ran over.
Snow. That was one thing that Hatsu hated; the snow. Yet here he was, on glacier peak, his nose lowered to the alabaster terrain in strong interest. The only thing that broke his consistant gaze was the bark, followed by a howl - one that sent mixed feelings to the tawny hued brute. It momentarily lifted the long hairs on his back, sending him in an apathetically attentive trot in the direction of the noise. Hatsu stopped short, his dreambox lowering and his nostrils barely tracing the snow. He picked up the vague scent of another ookami, though didn't bother to follow it. Instead, the brute let out a course bark, his dark occuli flickering in an attempt to locate the other of his kind.

Blight<3 I heard a course bark. I let out a sharp bark and padded through the snow towards the other wolf. My rustic coat tanding out so brightly in the snow. I stopped a few feet hort of the male wolf. We were of the same size. "Hello." I said gently taking another few steps towards him.

And then, there was another bark. Before Hatsu could move, another ookami - a femmora - approached him. The brute lowered his head even more, dark occuli locked on the bitch. This banshee appeared to be of roughly the same size as Hatsu. Unlike most brutes, Hatsu was of medium size - in fact, he was rather small to be considered truthfully medium. But his size had never bothered him - he was quicker, more agile than the majority of the larger brutes he had encountered in his past. His compact size simply added to his endurance, which made up for his lack of brute strength - as did his wits. Not like he would ahve to use either with this bitch, or so it seemed - her gentle lyrics proved that. They were strange to his lobes - unfamiliar, sinfully sweet - distressing. Hatsu returned the femmora's soft vocals and her approaching steps with a curt whine, ears flattening against his dreambox. The bastard, occuli locked on her, spoke apathetic words after a moment, his maw still lowered in a distrustful manner.
"Who're you?"

I took a few steps near the male. Lowering my tail to show i wasn't a threat. "Blight. Who are you?" I asked him gently. Watching for his ears to come up. My rustic coat caught snowflakes falling from the clouds above. My nose had snow on it from me sniffing the ground. I shook my coat. Ridding myself of the cold wetness.

Hatsu's auds flickered forwards momentarily - hesitantly - as the bitch spoke once again, this time sharing her name. Blight. He repeated it mentally, comitting it to memory. Her voice was still gentle, something he was extremely hesitant about. "Hatsu." His lyrics were gruff, apathetic. That was the thing about Hatsu - he wasn't shy, contrary to popular belief, he was just apathetic. Half the time, he didn't give a flying fuck about others; he had been burned too many times in the past for that. Instead of showing visible emotion - such as this btich's gentle words had, her soft patience - he was hardened. And that wasn't something a couple of soft words were going to fix.

I gave a gentle wolfy grin and walked closer to him. "Your name is gorgeous." Just like you I thought i mentally. I sat down on my haunches in the snow. His gruff voice was apathetic. I let my amber optics move over his body. His pelt was attractive. He seemed hardened by his past.

And that compliment? It didn't help; all it did was make Hatsu even more weary of the femmora. Uncomfortable, even. But still, the kindness? It was mildly refreshing. Enough for him to raise his maw vertically, nostrils parallel with the ground. The brute sighed lightly, inaudibly, his orbs locked on the still approaching femmora. He held his ground, at least for the moment; this bitch was no threat to him. No matter how weary the bastard grew of Blight, he wasn't a bit worried. Which was strange of him, mind you. Hatsu was typically hesitant of every ookami he met, no matter how soft they seemed. But with Blight? It was different. She just seemed...meek, placid. Everything he wasn't used to.

I sighed gently gazing at him. I was new to these mountains. I looked away from him briefly. I let my orbs dance back to his face. I laid down in the snow. The coldness unbothering. I thought of something to talk about. "How long have you been in these mountains?" I asked him gently.

Hatsu lowered his haunches to the alabaster silk, his occuli still locked on the femmora. She, in her gentle ways, was slightly intriguing. The lack of pain in her vocals - it seemed like she had had a carefree, easy going life. It was so unfamiliar to him. Just enough to draw him to her - at least his curiousity did. And her questions, her interest in him? That was something new, once again something unfamiliar. And, at this time, he was still unsure of whether he liked it or not.
"A....while." His lyrics, once again, were spoken apathetically. This time, the words were more hesitant - sharing personal information wasn't his favorite thing. In a quick attempt to get the focus off of him, he simply returned the question to Blight.
"What about you...?"

I looked at him. "A few days." i said gently letting the conversation die. If he thought silence was uncomfortable he could say something.

What; did he say something wrong? Hatsu cocked his head off to the side in Blight's direction as she let the conversation die, his eyes flickering from her, to several snow-covered bushes, and back. After a moment of silence - uncomfortable silence, at that - Hatsu chose to break the silence, out of desperation. "Just a few days? Why did you come here?" And now he was prying, becoming the hypocrite he always was. Hatsu straightened his head, his eyes still locked on the femmora.

"I was chased out of my homelands."I said simply. It wasn't a touchy subject. "I needed a new pack. The Carpathian mountains seemed the perfect place to start." I siad gently my eyes lever leaving his bodice.

The femmora's sheer honesty surprised - shocked - him, her willingness to answer his personal question. Hatsu would have never been able to pull such a thing off so smoothly, never. The bastard nodded slowly at her vocals, eyes intently staring her down. And still, he was intrigued. If the femmora had been chased off her lands, away from her pack, then why was she so...gentle? So patient, soft....placid? Once more, Hatsu cocked his head off to the side at the femmora, rising from his sitting position.
"Why...if you don't mind me asking? Why were you driven away?"

"I found out that my sire had been a fourth hellhound. When the pack I was in found out the banished me. And all i have been my entire life was calm and good." I said gently softly almost too quiet for myself to hear. I stood up gently onto my limber legs. I moved gently to another part of the clearning not taking my eyes off of the bastard.
